This might seem nuts, but I'm wondering if any cue-makers have made cues from old baseball bats? Bats are generally made from Northern Ash or Hard Maple, but hickory was also used (too heavy for today's players).
I collect old baseball equipment and occasionally come across really beat-up antique bats that aren't that expensive and thought it would be interesting to have a cue made from two antique bats that had different wood grain/color.
