Cuetec Avid - Anyone have any experience with these yet?

The new Cuetec Avid series of cues look pretty nice for a lower-end production cue.
I know some people have strong feelings about Cuetec. I was never a fan of their design nor did I care for the "glass-bonded" concept.
However, the uptake of CF shafts has softened my position a little bit. Not an endorsement of their shafts, but I am more open-minded.
And I must admit, the Avid series is pretty pleasing to my eye / personal taste.
Anyone have a chance to try one out?

This might help. I agree they seem like a solid choice for an inexpensive cue. Since the points are painted, it looks like direct competition for the Pure X cues, which are slightly cheaper.

Thanks. That is helpful. I asked Cuetec how the points were made via their FB. No response yet. Would prefer a 3/8 x 10, so may go with a Schmelke instead.

I’m a bit late to the party on this one, but I only got the shaft this past month. I could definitely take this our in league play and make some noise. I did retail it with a pressed Elkmaster (Not a milkdud). The straight taper play well for me vs their long 15” taper on the SST shaft. Overall for someone that does not want to pay the money for a Predator or the Carbon fiber shaft, this is a nice affordable option.
