Cuetec Cynergy CF vs. Cuetec SSG

I switched to a Cuetec Cynergy CF shaft. I had an old Cuetec cue I kept in the car (because they are indestructible) and swapped out the SSG shaft. I love the Cynergy silky smooth feel and durability but after playing both, I could not feel much of a difference. Can anyone notice the difference between the fiberglass wrapped wood SSG and the CF Cynergy? is the CF less deflection than the FG?

I'm sure the CF shaft has less deflection. Its also far slicker and extremely durable. Probably not a huge difference in how they play tho. BTW, iirc that shaft is a 'SST' not SSG.

I tried both they play exactly the same.

SST is white and cheap.
Cynergy is black and expensive.
I had a SST yrs ago. What i didn't like was that the shaft got really sticky really quick. I hate gloves and with these you almost can't play without one.

I do hate gloves too which I made a thread about, actually it was my first post in here if I remember correctly.

But back when I used a cuetec and SST I used to be a powder kind of guy, you'd see my table almost all powdery just like the 80's and 90's of pool, back then I used to love this look so I just smaaash that SST with powder with every inning :) I just liked that, but now I stopped using powder since I heard that its bad for you.

Now I use other shafts like kielweed and revo, both are very nice shafts and both do not require powder or glove anyway...Revo is very smooth without glove or powder, I been using that for sometime now and I believe that its one of the best shafts ever made to be honest with you.

Cuetec Cynergy plays nothing like a Cuetec SST, and I mean nothing. Those SST shafts were not very good at all (at least from a performance standpoint, maybe they are tanks from a durability point of view). I hear the new Cuetec AVID shaft is pretty sporty though, especially for the price.
