What was the reasoning for closing. I had always heard that the place had alot of action. Anyone know why they closed up?

Yeah, and did Freddie Guarino still own it? I was never sure if he and Mary sold it way back when or if both (or one) kept it. I know they had it up for sale years ago.....

Hi Folks,

Cuetopia has been at the center of some legal problems for years. They were suppose to have opened this past May under new ownership. Someone posting here early this year gave us that info. I don't believe they ever opened the doors. None of the locals I play with were aware of them being open. It sure looked closed when I drove by last month.

I spent some time out there a few years ago and the place was dead on the weekends...Back in the late 80's and early 90's when I lived there, there was plenty of action and general business.....Best of luck to both Mary and Fred...

it has been close for some time. it must have gotten out of bankrupcy court. the new owners were going to open it but because of the bankrupcy court they couldn't.

Cuetopia was actionless for a long time. A road player from there even had to come all the way to the San Fernando Valley (even less action) to find action. I played him, and a few other people did. I think he broke even for the day. Nice guy though.
