Interesting Post....Who Is He?
A fellow going by a pool_shark on the main forum was just asking how much his Cyrtis Robertsson cue might be worth but he didn't offer much description and there weren't any photos. If I recollect correctly, he claims to ahve paid $5,000 for his cue was was thinking it might be worth around $2600 or at least that what another forum reader responded with or agreed with.
I tried locating him in the 3rd Edition of the Blue Book of Cues which is the most current version available. Admittedly it doesn't claim to list every single cuemaker everywhere but it's a pretty comprehensive compilation of the best and other noteworthy cuemakers. In my opinion, anyone asking more than $2,000, let alone $5,000, for one of their cues should be noteworthy in my mind. Can't find mention of him or his cues anywhere.....I can't help but feel dubious about his craftmanship & cue manufacturing credentials to command that kind of money for one of his cues.
