I'm having a custom Box Cue built by Ron.
I'm really excited for the build. Me and him collaborated on the design and I think it's gonna come out beautiful!!!
It's gonna be a Box cue w/ Gaboon Ebony FA & Sleeve w/ 2 long Boxes of Snakewood and 4 short boxes Ivory Snake Juma in the forearm. Veneers will be silver, Purple and black. The Juma boxes will be engraved with flourish scrollwork and filled w/ epoxy. We're gonna do test pieces to see if we're gonna fill it w/ Black or purple(to match Veneers)
Wrapless w/c 2pc Snakewood Handle.
Boxes in the Sleeve to match.
Ringwork will incorporate the engraved scrollwork having the same flourishes inlayed in the rings of Ivory composite & Abalone.
It will be a Bumperless Cue as I really believe this will be an elegant Cue so I'm thinking Bumperless will give it the added touch!
Cue will be fully Cored with laminated Maple.
3/8 x 10 mod. Pin.
Having 2 shafts w/ it a Maple & a Kielwood
I'm very excited about this build and it's just being started so I have about a 12 month wait, but it's gonna be will worth the wait!
I'll be getting progress pictures as well I will post them when I get them...
I'm new to this site and this is my first forum post, but wanted to share the build I have coming up as I'm very excited about it!

Having a custom cue built to your very exact specifications is an exciting experience. I’ve done it five times.
Every cue was turned out great, except for one that I over-designed; it was my 1st custom cue so I learned.
As you get progress photos from Ron on your cue build, please do share them. You are going to be thrilled.

I definitely will... I just got of the phone w/ to lock in what we went over, he really is a very nice guy to! Made the first part of the experience great! So, it's literally in the "first" stages, but I'll be sure to post them!!

Well, I don't think I'm gonna want to sell this anyway! This is most likely gonna be one of my collected keepers! But i can definitely see how that would be! Not all flavors are for everyone...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder…….everyone does not find the same joke funny……and cues are a personal decision as
to what to buy, what you like, how much to spend and what’s absolutely pretty or has little or no appeal. The old axiom that everyone has an opinion but the only one that truly matters is your own certainly applies to cues in general and custom cues.
