Custom cue cases...

I am looking for someone who makes custom cue cases similar to Instroke or Giuseppe. I want to be able to pick the leather color(s) and have something written on it.

Any suggestions on a good quality, not too expensive maker?

Thanks,
Zim

The only people who come to mind are Dan Whitten and Jack Justis, but I'm sure you know of them. Chas Clements makes outstanding cases, but they cost more than most people's cues.

Yes it is! The snakewood is a rare one in my collection, eventually it will be for sale!

The guy who started Instroke sold out recently and moved to Dover, Arkansas. That is where his wife is from. He told me he is looking at and working towards a new line of cases. I forgot his name but he seemed serious about coming out with something new. I have no idea of his time table. Gearing up for that type of a production could be tremendus. He would have the resorces

Hey Zim,

Instroke was originally Instroke of Germany. John Collins from Colorado has owned that title for many years and is the one who recently sold out or became partners with Sterling, I don't know which. Sterling also has the new Fury line of cues. I have heard many wonderful things about those cues. Bob had a chance to play with several of them in Vegas. He liked them very much and they were affordable.
Other case makers include Ron Thomas Cases from LA, Scott Murphey from Texas. If you want more info on Thomas or Murphey, e-mail me and I will get you the info.

Hope this helps!

Bert Kinister also makes cases or has them made for his Widowmaker line. I ordered one and had my name placed on the back. Very nice and affordable compared to most custom cue cases.

I do know to say to stay away from Bentley Cases if you value you're cues. One of the employees at Pro Billiards in Orlando bought a solid leather Bentley 2x4 case new. The case was never abused or even has a scratch on it, But she was walking from her car with the case and the bottom fell out of it and her cues got dinged up pretty bad. I looked at the way it is made and it is held together with cheap little nails through what looks like particle board.

Bentley said it wasn't their fault and would not do anything about it.

Bad Business and workmanship. I will post some pics of this cheap ass case later in the week when I can get back over there with my camera. But you can call them anytime after 11am to verify this (407) 898-3007.

If you are in Germany then you want to talk to Waldemar Eisele from the Stuttgart area. He does custom work in the Flowers style. His cases are VERY VERY good. Just call the Billard Palast in Boblingen and ask around for how to get in touch with Eisele. If I had a number I would give it to you.

You can also try Instroke in Germany. They are in Ilshofen and can be reached under the following number 07904/97600.

And finally, I will indeed be making absolutely unique cases again in the near future and would be able to accomodate you. I expect that my first case will be done around December/January though which may be too long to wait.

John, I would be interested in a custom case to accomodate 3-4 cues and have something written on it. I'm sure we will be doing some business in the near future!
Thanks,
Zim

Someone already mentioned him, Dan Whitten. Just my opinion, but his cases are money well spent. Top notch from his shop all the time every time.

Hello Zim,

I recently recieved my "Custom case" made by or from Bert Kinister.
I have my name on the back and moved the strap to the right side.
I choosed the colors and any other detail that i would like on the case and it came out Beautifull.
