Custom Made Shafts

I have a custom made cue by a local cue maker but would like to try something. I would like to purchese these shafts from cue components
AAA Superb SNO-WHITE and have them fitted to my cue. I hope some one here could match my ring work doesn't have to be perfect just close.. The
specks What I would like is 13mill or even a little bigger with a 12 1/2 taper
similarly to troy downey cues

i'v talked to my cue maker and he said he could do it but not sure how long it would take to complete ...

We can make shafts, with matching collars, for $80 and up. You can have Troy Downey make the shafts himself if you want. Send you cue in and we can have a new custom made shaft in about a week and a half. We have straight grain rock maple so you wouln't need to buy a piece and send it in.

If you were to buy the shaft blanks from Cue Components or any other wholesaler for that matter, it would be a year or so before those blanks would be ready to become a finished shaft. Lots of cuemakers have good shaft wood that has been incrimentally turned and now are ready to be made into a completed shaft. If you want a Troy Downey taper on your shaft then why dont you just send it to that person instead of someplace else so that they can guess at what taper you want?
