Just received a used 5/16-14 Cynergy. It fits my Schon and my Mezz (which has a bullet nose). My Tascarella and my Adam Balabushka don't screw down all the way. Wondering if this is common challenge with Cynergy. I recall when I got my Tiger shaft 5/16-14, it also didn't go all the way down only Tascarella, and Tiger had to run a tap. But that had a phenolic insert. I'm going to run a tap in to the Cynergy shaft, unless someone (that I trust on here) says differently.

It could also be an issue with the pilot. As long as you're careful, the tap won't hurt anything. Maybe take something that fits in the hole and see how deep the insert is to make sure the pins have room to fully insert, regardless of the threads. Or note how deep the tap goes, that will let you know if the pins have clearance too.

Thanks. It’s definitely not a clearance issue. And definitely not a shaft pilot fit issue.

Hi Fred
Mr. Tascarella uses a full size 5/16x14 simular to Blackboar. If you have access to an H4 tap in that size, you should be ok.
Or better.
Ask Mr. Tascarella to fit it.
