Dallas - Ft Worth 14.1 League Starting January 20, 2016

VSPL - Volcano’s 14.1 Straight Pool League

Volcano's Sports Bar, 129 E Harwood Rd, Hurst, TX,
which is only 1 mile north of Hwy 183 (Airport Freeway).


Starts January 20, 2016.


Placement in league according to skill level – Four different levels play to 75, 100, 125 or 150 points.

Matches are played on your schedule – you get three to four opponents to play each month and
schedule when both players are available.

Free match play on any day of the week. All matches must be played at Volcano’s.

FREE pool play at Volcano’s anytime Sunday – Thursday for league members.

Sign–up fee is $20 – Fee will be, if all matches are played, held over for the next season.

Matches are $6 for each match assigned per player.

Sign-up applications are available at Volcano’s (ask the bartender).

Quick bump to this thread from a local player in the 14.1 league played out of Volcanos - it really doesn't get any better than the way this league is set up. Especially for straight pool.

No handicapping within your level of play.

Contact list is sent out to each player and you arrange all league matches at any time - the goal being to finish them all before the season ends. Usually 4 per month but you can play when and around any schedule you have.

Every person I've met and played in the league over the past few years has been nothing but enjoyable to play and be around for the entire season. Good people.

The venue and 8' tables are decent with relatively tight pockets. Not bar boxes. The drinks and the food reasonable. Service is good and the wait staff is very nice.

Centrally located and worth the drive to play a great game with ultimate flexibility and league perks like free table play.

Don't put this off one more season because you will be like the rest of us that say "I wish I would have joined and played a long time before I did!"

Call Randy and get set up before we start in another week or so - he's easy to work with and talk to and will even offer competitive "training play" with those that want to improve and get the most out of this game :-)
