I just got this cue and it is already my favorite cue to play with. I can't tell you enough just how great this cue hits. I am one of those lucky people who gets to hit and even play with many cues from many cue makers since I have friends in the business. I will post a string of pictures here. I am not the best photographer, but I think they turned out pretty well. The only flaw on the cue was some chips in the butt cap, but when I am ready that will be repaired easily enough.
After sending Dan Dishaw an email with some pictures and questions about this cue, here was the reply I got back:

Wow, you have one of the very first cues I made. I started in 1992. Notice how narrow the point is at the base just before the handle which resulted in more maple exposed. I only made this once, and decided the point should be wider at the base.
This also has a compound taper to the butt giving you a fatter feel in the wrap.
Regards,
Dan

I personally think it says quite a bit when a cuemaker takes the time to respond to questions and really cares about his stuff. Thanks Dan if you ever read this!
So without further ado, here comes the photos.
