Danny Harriman DVD Review

I got my Danny Harriman 280 ball run DVD yesterday. I want to get through the worst part right away, its true there is no label and it is in a basic CD/DVD jewel case again no artwork (I had hoped for a Danny Harriman signature and 280 ball run Sharpie scrawl, no such luck), being brave I decided to not post my serious issue with this lack of production values on the highly vaunted AZ website. Note this did take a great deal of restraint, rather than post, I decided to turn on my DVD player and TV and give it a chance.

Wow what a payback on taking that chance. A very well produced DVD with a ton of information. The video was very good. It was shot in a home basement environment but the picture was very clear. The audio voice over was applied after the fact was very good. The DVD is chaptered into racks, I reccomend this to all future authors.

The first part of the DVD key items are reviewed and a basic game plan is shown. Danny starts the run from the bottom of the rack. He describes his thought process on shot selection. He also talks about using english to break up the rack and cluster to get effective motion on those balls. He covers a lot of other ideas and techniques to play the game better so I will not ruin the DVD with too many details.

Along the way he shows how easy it can be to run balls, he make it look easy. However he also shoots a few tough shots along the way showing some of his mettle. In the voice over, he does not always agree with his shot selection and points out his mistakes. He runs 280 balls on this DVD and shares his thoughts the entire way.

I have to recommend that anyone who wants to play better 14.1 buy this excellent DVD. I liked it so much a played it a second time the same day.
