I understand that the Horseshoe is full on Thursday the 26th.. Any recommendations on where to stay this night or the other nights if the place is much more affordable? Thanks!

The Holiday inn is right down the street along with several other hotels/motels. There are plenty of places with kitchens, etc within 10 miles.
The DCC is a bit too expensive!

All of the above! I am still going to go, just seems like they rape you on the rooms.
the rooms are discounted to $99.00 a night if you stay the entire event, very close to or the same price as other hotels in the area.
If you share a room with someone even if not for the entire event the cost for a 140.00 room = 70.00 per night or less depending on how many people are in the room.
That is not getting raped.
