Dealing with a table that doesnt break well

Ok, this afternoon i went to the pool hall to practice a bit. And normally i practice on a 9ft, but decided to get a 7ft. Well i rack up the balls to for 9ball, and goto break and the balls went nowhere. So thinking maybe i racked up the balls bad or something i re-rack and the same thing happens.

Well after a couple more times of breaking and shooting balls, i move to a different spot on the table to break. And the same thing happend.

After trying a couple different break spots, i just ended up setting the CB 2inches left of being straight on the 1ball. And that seemed to be the best spot to break from.

Now my question is, what can you do when you encounter a table that just doesnt break well from any spot in the Kitchen? I know most tables have a SWEET spot to break from, either it be from the side rails or from the breaking box.

Are you sure that the rack was frozen properly? From what you describe, it sounds like the rack was dead.

Yes i am sure the rack was frozen, i even had a friend who is a A rated player, shoot a bit with me on that table, and when he broke, it was the same, the balls just kinda went POOF like a koosh ball.

When that happend, i mentioned something to him about the way the table breaks, and he even said that he cant seem to break well on that specific table.

Sometimes when the moon is inline with the sun, it'll throw your break off.....or even when it's high-tide in Athens.....it's the darnest thing really.

Was it raining that day ? Maybe the balls were dirty ?

As a matter of fact yes it did rain, that day lol.

I am not sure if the balls where dirty, i know i probably wasnt the first person that day to use those balls.

Now that i think of it, I do remember some days, where it was like no matter what i did, i just couldnt get a decent break going. Either it being two balls would lock up or just not being able to control the CB.

I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later, cuz for like the past 3 weeks my break was working so good. Oh well it happens.
