Here are pics of a cue I recently completed for a GI in Kuwait. He is about to
retire after 21 years (engraved on the butt is XXI). Thanks for your service Vic.

The cue has a 1-piece Purple Heart core, Ziricote forearm and butt sleeve.
The handle is Koa and the butt cap/joint sleeve and shaft sleeves are G-9.
The trim rings are Bocote. Shafts are PH, Maple and Oak all with Talisman WB tips and I-4 ferrules. A cue similair to this (I never make two cues the same), with 3 shafts, costs about $650. Waiting time is 9 to 12 months.

Different Shaft Woods

Each type of shaft wood has its own distinct hit properties. As an example:
using maple as a base line, oak hits snappier/crisper than maple and PH hits more snappier and crisper than oak (but not by much).

Cue looks great. Close-ups would be nice. Why the three different shaft woods?
