Dennis Hatch - Johnny Archer on TV table at Turning Stone at 8:00

Thanks for the heads-up. It's been quite a while since I've had the pleasure of watching these two great champions match up. It should be a real treat to watch.

Dennis broke and ran the first two racks, then made the 9 on the break in the third game. 3-0 Dennis. Johnny just played a nice safety in game 4.

Johnny gets ball in hand.
 
Johnny makes a ball on the break in game 6 but leaves the cueball hanging in the jaws of the corner pocket.
 
Johnny plays safe on the 1, but leaves a nearly table-length combination for Dennis.

Dennis makes the combination and gets perfect shape on the 1. Open table.
 
Dennis makes a ball on the break, plays a nice safety on the 1 leaving Johnny hooked behind the 2 up table.
 
Johnny hits the 1 and leaves a long nearly straight-in shot in the corner on the 1. Dennis misses the 1, but hooks Johnny with the 8.

Johnny masses around the 8 and makes a good hit, but leaves an easy shot on the 1 in the side, open table.
 
Dennis runs out to go up 5-1, then jumps up on the table shaking his fists and shouting, "I'm the king of the world!!" (j/k about that last part)
 
Dennis breaks dry in game 7, leaves a bit of an off-angle shot in the 1.

Johnny comes to the table with a min-vac and does some housecleaning, then jaws the 1 in the corner.

Dennis makes the 1 and gets shape on the 2.
 
Dennis takes game 8 to go up 6-2. Dennis says something about the rack while Johnny is racking, Johnny walks away and tells Dennis "you rack then." Dennis racks, makes a ball, and plays safe on the 1.
 
Johnny misses a very tough shot on the 1, leaves the 1 tied up with the 3. A safety battle ensues...
 
Johnny tries to bank the 1 but misses, leaving the 1 hanging in the opposite corner pocket. Hatch makes the 1 and draws the cueball straight back to the other side of the table and into the side pocket. Johnny has ball in hand.
 
Johnny runs out to make it 6-3. Dennis says, "My grandma could've run that table." Johnny retorts with, "Your grandma wouldn't have scratched in the side though."

Johnny breaks and makes 2 balls, has a shot on the 1.
 
Johnny gets a bit funny on a 5-7 combination, coming up a short on shape.

Johnny makes the combo and bumps the 9, leaving perfect shape on the 5.

Johnny gets out to make it 6-4.
 
Johnny comes up dry on the break.

Dennis makes the 1 in the side, but gets hooked by the side pocket on the 2.
