Hi Jen, I've been a regular at the DCC since it started. I don't beleive I have ever seen you there before. What are the chances of you coming to compete this year? Hope to see you there and keep up the hard work, Todd. :)

Hi Todd,

I've been traveling so much lately I'm looking forward to having a month without entering an airport (January), so I doubt I'll be there. Good luck to you in the tournament!

As of right now, the WPBA is not letting any of the ladies play in the DCC. I am 100% certain of this now that i have been able to dig a bit deeper.

It does not look like they will change their mind either. The only loophole may be if the player has yet to sign the WPBA contract.

I wasn't aware that the WPBA can stop their players from playing in an Open even, when there is not a conflict with a WPBA event.

That is crazy!

I guess we can assume the WPBA was not happy with Jeanette Lee playing in the DCC last year.

If that's the case then that is crazy. From what I saw last year at the DCC a lot of people really enjoyed watching Jeanette and Sarah play.

Just to ad something Sarah finished better then any women has ever finished at the DCC.

Hey Nostroke,

Did you actually speak to Kelly or Ewa about it, or did someone else? Usually they only deny waivers if there is a direct conflict of interest with dates or other circumstances. I know it sounds a little crazy to outsiders, but I will say that having unity on these issues is part of what keeps the womens tour going strong. I never really understood it until I talked to them about it, but if we aren't allowed to play in Derby City I'm sure there is a good reason.

DCC and the WPBA

Jenn,

Work is in progress that will allow the WPBA members to play in Louisville next month. Nine days of 24 hour action...as a fan and vendor, I hope you reconsider and decide to play.

Good luck,
Mike
