Is there a formula or easy way to determine proper cue length? I find myself gripping my off the rack (58" aprox.)mcdermott about an inch or two from the butt with a 6-8" bridge. I'm 6'2" with ape arms (78" wingspan), so that gives me about a 90deg. arm angle at impact. How do I know how long of a cue I need, and are there any suggestions for custom cue makers that make nice longer cues? Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am in the same boat as you. Same height but a little shorter arms...knuckles don't drag on the ground. I am having a local custom maker make me a cue at 59". I have a Scruggs sneaky in that length and works well for me. I still grip towads the back...but at least my pinky isn't hanging off the end.
