Detroit area pool halls

Anyone know of any good pool hall's in detroit? preferrably in the royal oak area. One that serves good food would be fantastic =)
 
If you're looking for a place to hang out, drink, play pool and eat food, then Snookers might be a good place to go in Royal Oak.

If you want a poolroom where the 'players' hang out and/or where there are tournaments and action, then go to Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren (it's about 15 minutes from Royal oak). Their phone number is 586-939-8880.
 
I would definitely recommend Hall Of Fame over Snookers. 13 mile and Mound rd. if I remember correctly. Snookers is more of a bar with a lot of pool tables whereas HOF is more of a pool hall that happens to serve drinks, if that makes any sense.
 
Plush Pockets is another nice, clean room in Warren.
Real close to HOF...

Hi, I took the recommendation from this thread to visit Hall of Fame Billiards while I was in Detroit. I just wanted to post and say this is one of the best places I've been to - thanks!

They have good 9 foot tables with tight pockets and table time is cheap during the day ($3.50/hr)...

But what I like most about the place is it reminds me of the old school pool halls. When you go in during the day it is mostly filled with older guys who can really play. Watch out though because the regulars there are looking for $ action. Apparently a lot of pros in the area hang out there too and participate in the tournaments. The only thing that kind of annoyed me is there are guys walking around trying to sell shit. I don't know why they are allowed to pull that crap by the management.

I definitely plan on hanging out there on a regular basis while I'm in Detroit.
