Can anyone give me some info on this room? Can't find anything on the WEB. I have been to the 2 Chattanooga Billiard Clubs and was wondering about this room

Thanks

Diamond Billiard Club

Just got back from Chatanooga on vacation with family. Stayed about .5 mi. from here but did not go in. I am from Gulfport and I heard from one of our very good locals (Benny Conway Jr.) that this was the room to go to in Chatanooga. It was in a strip mall and looked to have about 15+ tables. Not sure if they were all 9 footers. Sorry, not much info, but that is all I have.

Almost all 7-footers. There's been an ownership change and are not what they were under the old management.

Chattanooga

thanks for the info

where I am confused is that there are 2 rooms, one downtown and one in the burbs both called Chattanooga Billiard Club, I have been to both and they are excellent rooms.

Then there is another place downtown, Parkway Billiards that has mostly 7' diamond tables, but, now on the web there is a reference to Diamond Billiard Club yet they have no website.

Just hoping someone knew about the "new" Diamond Billiard Club

It' not new, it's been there for quite a while and was opened by David Crockett and Billy Bailey. While they were there, there was a good bit of action play and some higher level tournaments. But they are no longer associated with the room and the tournaments are no more and the action has died down a lot. Parkway is either closed or closing at this time. CBC is still going strong and another place has opened on hwy 58 called The Lower Level.

Thanks for the update... currently living in Orlando & Stuart FL and looking to relocate to Chattanooga / Signal Mountain. Having a quality pool room nearby is a major consideration for me. I have a home table but enjoy the atmosphere of a good room.

Thanks again

Joel,

Chattanooga pool is evolving as we speak. Don't worry about a room that suits you. You will definitely find s room where you feel comfortable. Diamonds was a great room for many years, and still has good equipment and weekly tournaments. Lower Level has lured many of the "players", and also is a great room with good leagues and tournaments. CBC East is more of a playing room than the downtown location. CBC downtown gets alot of the "nightlife" kind of crowd. There is also Double Hill Billiards in Hixson. It's a non-smoking room and draws the type crowd that a non-smoking room usually draws, which is attractive to a lot of players. If you are moving close to Signal Mountain, you might also wanna check out Charlies Lounge in Soddy. Alot of locals enjoy the atmosphere there. There are tons of league teams all over town. I don't know anyone who enjoys Billiards who hasn't found Their Mitch in Chattanooga.
