Diamond professional pocket, normal?

So this is a new diamond professional. Is it normal to have this V cut into the leather of the pocket? It's on all six pockets, each side

I haven't done too many diamonds but never noticed a notch in any of the pockets. They also look a little inconsistent the way some are trimmed back behind the facings and the last photo seems to be on top of the facing.

The rails were done at the factory I believe. Not the installer

Contact Diamond with these. Doesn't look kosher to me.
