Diamond Smart Table and Measles Ball?

Anyone know if a Diamond "Smart Table" will work with a Measles Ball (Cue ball with numerous red dots on it)?

FYI, I read that the Diamond "Smart Table" has a cue ball return similar to a magnetic ball return, however it uses an optical sensor instead of a magnetic sensor. Therefore you can use high quality non-magnetic cue balls and don't need to worry about balance problems with cue balls with magnets inside of them.

Another question: Can older magnetic type tables be retrofitted with the Diamond ball separator device? (Purchase an optical ball separator retrofit kit from Diamond for other brands of coin-op tables?)

(I plan to write the manufacturer, but also wanted to ask here...)

I'm not sure how this work, but I know that quite offten other balls than the cue ball comes out where they shouldn't.

Hi Bill190,

I played one of my matches at the DCC on the "TV table" with the polka dot cue ball. None of the people who played at that table including myself had any problems with the cue ball return. Personally, I prefer the Diamond Pro to the Smart table. There's something about drop pockets..... Anyway, I'm envious of your possible purchase. If room was available, I'd want one too!
