The other day I watched some matches from the WPC,
and really enjoyed them. Alex and Efren both got beat
in their matches. (couldn't believe Efren missed that 4 ball cut).

It gave me a chance to see some players I had never seen
before play, and to kind of acquant me with the foreign players.

I was a little amazed a little at how some players got out of line
on some balls, but did recover to run out.

Did you catch it on TV? I hope they have a lot more of the matches.
It was a matchroom sports production.

What network?

On Espn or Espn2 (channel 33 and 34 here in Wichita)

I found the matches to be interesting and exciting to
watch besides getting to see some players I like to
see like Alex, Efren, and the others I had only heard
of, but never seen.

The commentary was good, IMO, and they would show
a break like 3-4 times from different angles, kind of neat,
in rapid sucession.

It was on Fox Sports NY here and it was day 1 and 2. Im hoping that this was the kick-off to showing the whole thing. Any details on that anyone?

I didnt really think Efren's missed shot was a real hanger- I know it aint for me.

Was it a highlight package showing say parts(some racks missed within the sets) of 4 matches within a two hour time slot?If so, we get all nine days of this kind of format up here in Canada every year, for a total of 18 hrs(including commercials) coverage.

It's nice to see at least something of the WPC, however, Sky Sports in the UK shows aroung 60 some hours of coverage, sometimes 7 straight hours of pool per day. It's completley UNCUT with no racks missed in any set.The coverage, commentary and the way the game is presented in my opinion is second to none. They even include player interviews and scenes from the host city for the year.

I've been fortunate enough to aquire an UNCUT UK 23 DVD set of the 2004 WPC and a 30 DVD set of the 2005 WPC.It's my favorite nine ball to watch for sure, Accu-stats included.
