if you do not have a table at home and want to practice your stroke with shadow stroking
will the digicue analyze that??
or does it need the impact of tip with ball and what comes after to analyze??
while i am asking questions does it analyze what happens before the hit??

Tip contact with a Billiards ball is required. It must be a Billiards ball because there is a profile detector built in to discriminate between a Billiards ball impact and other impacts, say, from chalking.

During early development of the DigiCue I used a desk about the same height as a pool table, a cueball, an old blanket as cloth, and a pillow as a backstop. I did this to test the DigiCue in various ways and also to actually work on my own stroke too. I needed to get to a real table afterwards for real practice but the home desk setup was in fact productive.
