How come no Straight Pool is played out in Kentucky?

Being from the UK, it is fantastic to see games other than 9-ball played, I am learning a lot. I play a bit of straight pool, but would love to see the top players play.

Any ideas why it is not included?

I guess it's just not as popular in this part of the country.
