Distance away from wall

Hi what is the minimum distance away from wall for pool table?

Is a distance of 1.40 m away from wall sufficient for cue stroking? Any less or more? Thank you

At least 1.65 meters from the cushion to the wall.
The length of a cue plus 6" room to stroke. I have this exact
amount of space around my table and would not want 2" less.

Off course if your room simply isn't big enough then I could settle
for 1.4 instead of a smaller table. But 1.65+ is ideal.

just a small wall affecting a small particular area. any other area have enough space.

with 1.4 meters away from the 9 feet table. the cue should be able to have a short stroke (limited) with the 6 inch(15 cm) cushion area right?
1.55 should be enough room. this doesn't occur often

1.55 from the edge of the cushion is not enough to stroke comfortably.
Sure, it is not super bad and if it is for only a small area then I could certainly
live with it, but 1.55 will cause you to hit the wall on your backswing.
