Like it says, my question is how do Pat's normal shafts play compared to his lake shafts, I got a chance to play with one of his lakes and loved it. The thing is the offers I have for me to purchase on AZ seem not to have the lake shafts so just wondering if there is much of a difference.

Thanks.

Hello, Im new to the fourm but not to the pool world or Pats cues. I bought my first Diviney in 03 with lake wood and iv played with the lakewood ever since. The second diviney I bought originally didnt come with lakewood shafts and they were ordered not long after. His standard shafts are the "bleach" looking shaft. They are whippy in my opinion and spin the ball more. I cant change from lake wood to the standard shaft without some adjustments. The grain is not as tight and the hit is diffrent. The main thing for me is the weight diffrence. I dont have a scale handy or i would weigh them for comparison. The Lake wood is heavy compared to standard. Some hate the weight a few peple that have taken hits with the stick notice others dont. Also as a side note i think Pat has changed ferruls in the past 2 years or so. The newest cue (2012) from him that i have has a diffrent length ferrule and it is a diffrent material then my older ones. The new one hits a touch stiffer you. thought it would be worth mentioning depending on how old the cue you hit with was. All in all the lakewood shaft is a better shaft and worth the money. Its not LD but they hit a ton and feel awsome. Thant my opinion.
