Do Falcon AC-series shafts have a different taper?

I'm thinking of getting a second shaft for my AC-14 jump/break, but I don't know if I can just get a standard 5/16-14 Falcon shaft. I want to match my existing shaft, and the shaft that came with my J/B seems to almost have a standard taper; only if you put it against a wall can you see a small gap in the middle. Are all Falcon shafts this "bulky"? If not, where could I source a J/B shaft now that all Falcon production seems to be halted? Maybe Maxam Cues (the company his son runs that's still in Canada)?

Would a TNT shaft work? I kind of like the Falcon symbol it has at the base of the shaft.

Thanks.

Hi there ,I am Falcons authorized repair shop up here in Canada and I can get you what ever you like.If you send me pics I can match up your old shaft.

Hi Don; I don't have a digital camera, so the best I can do is a phone picture. It's barely a megapixel - would that give you enough detail? I'd have to wait until the weekend to get to a computer that will pull pictures off my phone.

I haven't retapered the shaft or done anything to it. Unless I got some weird anomaly, it should be the same as the other shafts that come with the jump/break cues.

I'm still in the "gathering prices" phase, and being a university student, I only work 4-8 months out of the year so I'm not on the best budget. I was hoping to catch one of those fire sales everyone seems to be having on the old Canadian-factory Falcons. :D

Hi;
Actually the guy that sold me the cue swung me a deal on a new shaft. Thanks for the offer, though, I really appreciate it.
