I've recently tried to download a file from the worldpool.com site, containing the final match between Archer vs. Jeremy Jones played in last year's Big Apple 9 Ball Challenge.

Prospective purchasers be advised that the file is incomplete, and that it does not allow you to rewind or fast forward, which is absurd .

I downloaded Morris vs. Hohmann before and had no problems with it. Since I felt a pang of nostalgia about that tournament (which I attended), I decided to purchase those files.

Instead of allaying my nostalgia, what it did was contribute to a very poor opinion of worldpool.com as a company. The file has been on their site for almost a year, and there is little excuse for not taking it off their website knowing the problems with it.

Now you know!

It's quite possible that they're not aware of it. You might be the 1st person to purchase that particular match. One of the people involved with worldpool.com is a member on this forum. They're out of town this wkend but I'm sure they'll either reply to this msg or send you a PM. Have a little faith ;)

I purchased the archer vs. eberle match. And it has really bad glitches in the audio and video, but for some reason they still are selling it, so dont get that one either. I e-mailed a few times to try to get this taken care of but didnt get a reply. So I stopped buying from there.

Timberly, I'm willing to wait for a response. I also e-mailed them directly today, so I hope they will rectify the situation. But as you can see, another poster also had problems with their merchandise. wordpool.com would be *far* better off making the quality of their downloads known to buyers, so they'd be able to make an informed purchase.

These are files that have been up for almost a year! But I'll try and be patient since you vouch for them. ;)

P.S.: Out of 3hr 16min that I was supposed to get for purchasing the JJ vs. Archer match, I only got to see 45min. So this is no nitpicking...

Having used both Worldpool.com and BCN in the past, I can honestly say both are rubbish.

Worldpool has the worst quality video, camera angles and commentary ever. BCN is a complete joke. I purchased the Bustamante v Buddy Hall match, and Buddy unscrews after 20 mins... And BCN have the gall to charge $4.95 for it.

I will never purchase anything from either of these sites or companies again, Accu-stats is king! :)

Indeed. There is nothing like paying for something you know the guy has put his whole heart into it. Pat is such a guy.
