Do you have Pool/Billiards in the Senior Olympics where you live, or if no
Senior Olympics, are Pool events held for Seniors where you live?

Billiards or 8 Ball Competition is part of the Arizona Senior Olympics in both the Phoenix, and Tucson Area. Phoenix area Senior Olympics was this weekend as a matter of fact.

It is open to anyone who can prove they are 50+, and the Senior Olympics is a NON Handicapped Matches in ages 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and over 90. Men compete against the Men, and Women compete against the Women.

Not too many entrants in within the Men's or Women's 50-59. Ages 60-69, and 70-79 seem like they have the most interested players. This year no one over 90 years old entered.

Prizes are Ego Medals only with No Cash, or Prizes of Value Awarded. Winner of 1st. 2nd., and 3rd places get. Gold colored, Silver Colored & Bronze Colored Medals.

Think the $15.00 entry fee with no CASH PAY OUT POT keeps many of the better Senior Players, like Babe Thompson from participating in Senior Olympics when they can for the same money enter a local Handicapped Tournament with a Cash Pot to Split, plus the Infamous Side Pots.
