Do you practice with cue that's not your player?

It's cross training. I mostly play with a 16oz cue, but for a few days this week I played with one that's about nineteen.

Train yourself to adapt to different equipment and to not worry too much about it. Otherwise you might end up wasting a ton of time and energy worrying about things that have very little real effect on your game.
We all know people who blame equipment for their own failings. It makes progressing your game difficult.

why would i ever practice with a tool i'm not going to use in competit.?? makes no sense to me. i sometimes get out a cue i haven't hit in a while but not for serious practice.

Hitting with a stiffer cue for a while makes playing with my regular cue seem effortless.
