I have been looking at purchasing a cnc router and found the stinger II .I like the stinger over the other brands mostly do to the fact it is a welded steel construction not the normal aluminum bolt together . Any info or videos of it running would be great .

It has a rack and pinion drive system witch would be no good for inlaying cues it looks like a nice machine but the rack and pinion drive is just not accurate for inlay work

There are just not many good cnc machines out there in the sub 15k range.
I would look for Kerk anti-backlash screws or ground ball screws with double nuts anything with more than .001 in backlash will cause problems with inlays. You might ask Mc2 he might have more insight into what is available I built me own last year after using a K2 for a few years. also a welded top might not be best as the heat from welding can make steel warp.

I looked at the k2 and i wasnt really impressed . I also looked at a techno which i like but it was 20000.00 . I'm pretty sure that they weld it together then machine the steel to make sure that it is square and not warped. thanks for the reply.
