Do you have a Dress Code that is part of you "RULES", I ask this question as a friend son just open a Sports Bar with (2) Pool Tables, and has a DRESS CODE for Entry. He is a Retired LEO (Cop) that is trying to deal with troblee makes before they get threw his from door.
 
The room where I shoot dress code.
No Wife beaters
Shirts must have sleaves.
No racist print
No gang colors.
 
We have a dress code posted. We only have it though because I walked in to a mess when I started running the bar. We only enforce it when required. There were a bunch of no good hoodlums in there when I took over. Once I bought the Diamond tables I put the dress code up. Now instead of being known for no good trouble makers my bar is known as a pool bar instead. It has slowed down my income but relieved a lot of stress. Hope this helps.
 
A dress code can help or hurt. Keeping some of the riff out, but making it to stringent can cause some problems.. We were working with creating a dress code including: No bandannas, any distracting articles, obscene shirts t shirts, nudity etc. Our hall was mid town , beer only 24hr , 18+ and within 4 blocks of the high school, next door to a bowling alley. It took us a LONG time to get approved by city, part of the agreement included the dress code we designed. It was very important that we remained a place that was attractive to familys.. 10k sq ft + a very large investment.

Great IDEA.
 
There are alot of place out here that have dress codes enforced between Thursday and Sunday, especially after 6:00pm,and some that don't allow ball caps or hats at all.
Sorry, but the last time I checked, most gangster wanna be's weren't running to buy Resistol hats.lol
But, in the name of peace, I just found somewhere else to play.
Although I can see their point in retrospect.....
 
If I owned a Room we would have a DRESS CODE that INCLUDED.

NO Pant with Undies Showing like the Gang Banger Wear with their Undies up high, and their Pants down LOW
