Double Chuck Mini-Lathe

Just curious if anybody has or tried to Double chuck a Metal Mini-Lathe (Chuck in front and back of the head stock). If so how did you do it with out making the through hole smaller? Also what size of chuck do you have installed on the Mini-Lathe ?

I am not sure you would get any benefit if you did. The head stock is quite short and too much of the shaft would be sticking out depending how close you were working to the chuck. It would be best to make an external centering device for the lathe. What exactly are you planing to do with the lathe?
 
The Lathe was intended for Tip and ferrule replacement. I'm pretty sure I can do more with it once I get going.
