Howdy Railbird,
He left Tucson and I hear that he went to oklahomacity,OK.Arizona `s committee on ranking the players rated him as 9.Highest being 10 -2.One time in the past he was the room mate of the great (late) louie Roberts. He does very good work on the cues. Cheers

thanks for the info...but the az rating system is not accurate at all...i was an 8 when i lived there and would gladly play any player who honestly was a 9...the real players there don't even play in the rated tournaments most of the time and therefore they never get ranked any higher...the system there is easy to beat for a month or 2 if you know where to go and get ranked...another friend of mine who lived there and played a ball better then me was ranked a 6 because of the place he got rated at the right place...i had to dump a couple of small tournaments there because the tournament director was in my ear threatining to raise me for winning weekly tournaments...anyway doug is probably a strong 10

have to go with railbird on this one,he plays as good as anyone that was on the vnea team for airway billiards, don't know if your familiar with them but the record book will show, they won either 5 or 6 world champs.in the vnea league with a strong team 4 in the masters division.the team had the late great banker gary speathe, jason miller, the person that just won the derby city bank division this year, rick garrison, frank ruby who finished 17th last year at the US open and joe brown. :p
