so I have this sugertree cue I want to buy but its shafts are 13.1"... I play w a 12.5. can I have these shafts downsized? is this recommended? any advice helps

I certainly could do the work and have everything I need to do that. However, as you would have no way of knowing unless you follow some of my other posts, I am in the middle of a move from Chicago to Jacksonville. The moving van comes Monday and my whole shop is packed up already.

I am a big proponent of the guys at Proficient Billiards, they do great work. I'm not a professional, and don't pretend to be one, although re-tapering a shaft is not exactly the hardest part of cue making,

I don't work on cues to make a living,it is just a fun hobby that I can stay as busy as I want on.

All the OP asked was if it was possible and if anyone had any advice. I simply shared a recommendation with him.

You also posted a question about finding a red alpha navigator tip, looking for help on that. I posted a recommendation for you on where to find them.

You could also offer to re-taper the shaft for him in your shop, correct?

Yes i could, it just wouldn't be worth his while to pay me and the outrageous shipping, i'm on the east Coast

Pool is big in Texas, so alot of cuemakers closer to him
Time to save your money, we are getting ready for a recession

So you're too expensive because you live on the East Coast but I'm not since I live in Chicago? It's a shaft, I ship them all the time, it's not outrageous. Maybe you are just so much more talented than the rest of us that your work costs a ton more?

Spoken like a politician. It’s true because I say it is. Obviously your birth certificate says Slim.
