I have had this dream for about 15 years of what I thought would make the ultimate playing cue. I dreamed of taking a 2 piece will hoppe and upgrading it to todays technology for a ultimate cue. With the help of Steve Lomax we have made this dream come true. I bought a Hoppe two piece that had a warped handle but outstanding veneers. Steve made a new handle, reduced the butt size, added a leather wrap. I suggested a 1/2 inch stainless flat faced joint with a 3/8-10 pin. The overall length I wanted to be as original at 57". I was somewhat disappointed with the idea of having to add a handle. My disappointment soon vanished after playing with it. I can't tell the difference. Its like a 60s auto with modern high performance running gear.Thanks to Lomax for his willingness to listen and make suggestions when necessary, I have the cue I dreame of. He put a pic of it on Azb.
