If you can do some research - most of anything billiard related with the Dufferin name from the 1980s was good quality - I think beyond the 1990s it starts to get questionable.

Looks to be a Challenger. Never seen one but i've been told they were made pretty well.

Definitely a Challenger. Dufferin made a wide range of tables ranging from trash to decent with the Challenger being at the top. Their lower end tables had issues with strange pocket cuts, slate falls that made no sense and rails that didn't hold up well at all. Their lower end stuff aged like milk and became almost unplayable after old age kicked in. Most Canadian rooms had them during the 80s-90s until better stuff became more readily available.

They did, however, make some of the very best house cues and reasonably priced 2 piece cues for a very long time. The quality of these faded near the end as well though.

Cant find much. Compares to an older Gandy or GC or is it not that good?
From what i've heard they're made better than a Big G Gandy. Not GC quality but good. All depends on price. I've seen these listed at 2500bux and thats insane. MAYBE 1000max for a mint one.

The table I'm thinking about is in the post of nick b above. 2800 with balls new cloth etc. 1000 won't be happening.

not worth that, at all. you can find nice gold crowns for less. are you in the us? i know in canada gc's can be hard to find.
Michigan. Northern lower. I think detroit area sellers may bring one up. Nothing beats gc until a certain price point.

That table looks clean and will play great. My grandpa had that exact model for many years until he sold his home and the table went with it. I'd offer them $1,750.00 delivered and installed but would probably go as high as 2K.

I felt the Challenger was legitimate competition for the Gold Crown…the first ones had floating slate like snooker…but was fixed easily.
But the next ones were even better….the Dufferin Titan

We're all years of the Titan good? Any idea what size pockets they had? They might be easier to find than a GC here in Canada

I never played on a bad one….and they looked good…..the pockets were a bit tight, like a Diamond.
