Earl Strickland's jump cue

I was watching the wheelchair billiards today with Earl Strickland and Johnny Archer playing teams with Anigonni(sp?) and Hans(?). I thought that when Earl hit his jump shot he kept going on and on about his tip being made of wood on his jump cue(full length cue I think). Did I hear it wrong? If not, do any of ya'll know what kind of stick and tip it is?

I beleive it is made of phenolic, the same material that made the (SLEDGEHAMMER) jump/break cue so famous. It's the same material the balls are made of, it's very hard so the tip gets off the cue ball quickly.

He was bitching about Johnny's cue. Johnny plays with a Scorpion break/jump cue, a knockoff of the Bunjee. The Scorpion has a phenolic tip similar to the Bunjee. Strickland was being sarcastic when referring to it as wood.

Hey Instroke, gotta question for ya, I have an Instroke case and one of the little plastic feet fell off the bottom. Howza nice guy like me go about getting another one before I start scuffing my beautiful leather case up. THANKS

Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure exactly what he said because the sound was down low on the tv. It looked like he was going on about it so much he forgot about the time clock and had to hurry the shot, but made a good jump.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.
