SUPER nice Jerry McWorter Ebony player

Beautiful, highly-figured Macassar Ebony with Gabon Ebony butt. Six very long, sharp and even Gabon Ebony points with natural and blue-stained Holly veneers. It is very hard to portray the wavy, dark beauty of the grain in this cue in a photograph.

Fancy nickel silver rings. McWorter type with closely-spaced, very thin silver rings.

Flat-face, 3/8 x 10 joint.

58 inches - 19.5 oz.

Three shafts: Two shafts with Ivorine III ferrules and Talisman Pro Medium tips. One shaft with Ivory ferrule and Talisman tip. Ranging from approx. 12.6mm to 12.9mm

Matching Ebony joint protector.

Fine-grained black leather wrap.

Condition is excellent to mint with no dings. So clean it doesn't even smell like cigarettes.

Serial number: 0873. One-owner, registered with cuemaker.

Playability: This cue is intended to be played and is part of McWorter's long-standing series of cues with less cosmetic detail and plenty of playability. Nevertheless the quality of the spliced points (not CNC) is second to none. Even though it is ebony, the cue has the liveliness, the neutral balance, and the solid little "ping" I always look for. Not as slender as some cues, but not fat. Kind of a West coast adaptation of a Southwest cue. Otherwise, the hit depends on which of the three shafts you use, but all are quite good and all are made by McWorter. You won't be able to blame the stick.

The Cuemaker: Jerry McWorter is arguably one of the best if not THE best American cuemaker and is destined for the Hall of Fame. He has been president of the American Cuemakers Association and received ACA's 2008 Cuemaker of the Year award. Will this cue depreciate? I doubt it.
