first off hello everyone. im new to the board and overall new to the game. i recently got a production cue, its a nice cue but now i think i should have went with a custom. for any cuemakers who see this post, or anyone that would have a rough estimate, how much would an ebony sneaky pete cost with curly maple. i also saw a wood that had what looked like swirls in the wood grain that i also that was beautiful, i think it is called bocote? thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

try www.indyq.com. He has some Mike Stacey sneaky petes that are bocote as well as ebony. They arent too badly priced and in my opinion hit well.He uses the southwest style joint.Welcome to the board

Ebony Pete

Try Phillipi, as I understand it he builds very nice cues. He quoted me $4oo for an ebony sneaky pete with two shafts and a Phenolic butt cap. They are a little pricy but so are about anyone worth buying. Hope this helps. Bob Frey also builds very nice Sneaky petes. Just look up Bob Frey sneaky pete's.
Again hope this helps.

I sent you a PM with some information about the cue you're looking for. Let me know if I can help you further. Thanks

Schon has a very nice cue as you described. I think it's called the Black Widow, not sure what the model number is. I think the price is in the $500-600. A custom cue as you described would probably run around $400+. That's a rough estimate.

I have a Pechauer with ebony forearm and curly maple handle and it came with 2 shafts for around $500.

thank you, everyone, for all of your help. i think i might try to sell my production and get a custom made. i'll be sure to check out all of the sources given. thanks again

great sneaky petes

hey! check out DZCUES.COM (bob dzuricky) makes a great cue and so does DALE PERRY of DP cues. both of them make great cues and they're affordable too. dzuricky may be a little cheaper than dale though. :)

Ebony is good but, please be aware it will deaden the hit/feel of the cue!
