Does anyone know how to get in contact with Ed Young, and how much he prices his cues? I believe I spoke to one of his friends a while ago, and I heard about $1200 onwards for a plain jane. I know Ed also hangsout at Chris's in chicago, but I've never seen him there.

thanks!

1400 for a plain 6 point which is as plain as they come from him. Requires a deposit. 2 year wait.

Ouch! Beat to it!

Guys, thanks for the info and the prompt reply!!!!

I really like the way they play, but I'm gonna have to start saving!

Is DPK still making cues or has Ed Young taken over the cuemaking ? I've heard only good things about DPK and one day would like to have one of his cues...

ed has been the only one who knows how to motivate dpk AND to take care of him. the result is that ed can get dpk to make a handful(literally) of cues per year, and they range from 15k on upward. ed is the cheaper alternative and basically builds the same cue because dpk taught him everything and they both make the same cues off the same template using the same machinery.

and that two year wait? not even close!!!!!!!! i think ed is still sending most of his cues overseas. you're better off finding one for sale. besides,,,ed is only making simply cues anyway, so buy online if you have no particular specs.

except for some minor design changes, they make cues off of dpk's original template for SW cues(which SW strayed away from long ago)

I spoke with Ed, and he said 2 years, just yesterday.

ok,,,tell that to my two friend who waited 5 years and one just got his while the other is being completed as we speak :):):)

i think i'm pretty good with ed and have known him for 13 years, but i waited 4 years to get two shafts done. got them last year. unless japan is drying up and ed is now concentrating on the usa market. my impression is that ed was always shipping overseas, which is why you just can't find his cues in the US.

i think it's great if ed is now concentrating on his US market.
