Eddie Farris Cue Weight Bolt thread?

I couldn't find anything with google, not sure if anyone knows. I'm thinking about trading one of my cues for a friend's Eddie Farris Titlist conversions. The cue is gorgeous yet simple, but with the shaft it feels light (maybe 18oz). I generally prefer 19.5oz (but 19 is fine too), so I was wondering if anyone knew the weight bolt...assuming he the same threading in all his cues.

Otherwise I'm not sure how it'd look in home depot with someone randomly trying a bunch of screws into the bottom of a pool cue butt lol (dunno if they'd think i'm stealing it).

I was able to contact Eddie on facebook and he was helpful. Do you have an account?

Also there are a couple guys on AZ who live near him or play out of his room (Magoo's I think)

I've deactivated my facebook a while back. I'll reactivate and reach out.

Seems I can't find his profile on facebook lol. The FB search has always been kind of garbage though. I may just check with home depot.

More common than you think. And not just for Cues.
Home depot employees are pretty cool about it.

If you have to go the home Depot route, pull the existing weight bolt and just take the bolt and tell someone that you need to find a longer one with the same thread. They get this sort of thing all the time.

On the other hand, you can get a set of thread pitch gauges from amazon for about ten bucks. Add to that a set of cheap calipers, and you can check the diameter and pitch of any machine screw.

Finally, if it happens to be a standard set screw with a hex drive, the internal hex size is generally standard for each given bolt size.

Went to Home Depot today. Looks like it may be a 3/8x16 thread. And about 2.5 inches deep. I ordered some set screws so hopefully that does the trick. It's about 18.94oz with the ex pro shaft, where as my joss is 19.75. I just need that extra ounce to have it perfect lol

2" long 3/8x16 set screw, about .08
Just a reference.
