I am going to be in Edmonton from Oct 18th to the 24th, just wondering what pool halls are the good ones to play at and also if anyone would like to play some sets?

The High Run club is the only place to play on decent house tables. Rosario's bar and h20 lounge have good bar tables. what are you looking to play?

Go to H2O lounge 10044st-82 avenue . Thursday night $10 tournament , get there before 7:30 play tournament... action after. There are a few people you can play for $50 to $500. If you wanna make a big game i'm sure thats possible too.

Are you going to the tournament in medicine hat on october 16th?

I can find you some action when you get here, shoot me a pm and I'll give you my phone number. Depending on what you're looking to do I'm sure I can find you a few players that will jump into the box.

Cheers

didn't know there was one. what is the deal with that? entry fee? how long? 8 ball 9 ball?

thanks

I'm pretty sure its 8 ball $60 entry fee limited to 64 players . played on diamond barboxes. call up Boston Billiards in Medicine Hat. I don't have the number myself, but i'm sure it will be easy to find.

Billiardgeddon

Lets see if there is ever a big tournament between the leagues of Edmonton whent agianst the leagues of Calgary and see which city and serounding area here in Alberta has the finest players. Not just in the City, but all of Alberta, from ones city of good players against the other city.It will be a blast. It will Billiardgeddon.

I play at Mr. Zeds in Belleville or at Stix and Stones in Trenton...but not really all the often.. maybe a few times a month...

I was in Edmonton for a few months on business last year and it took me a few pool halls before i found anyone to play against. I went to Metro, Highrun and played for hours by myself and never saw another person even pick up a cue.

Finally I went to the Cue Club and the place was packed with players. I would recommend going there first and not wasting your time at the other places.

Sadly the Cue Club has sucumbed to a number of factors including poor plumbing, neglect by the building owner and poor management.

Thats sad to hear. When I was there they did have a few leaks but it was a great pool hall. Tons of tables and some really good players.
