Efren on New York Times ?

Hi everyone this is my first post.
Im from the Philippines, male and i like
billiard but i dont play that much anymore.

So here goes my first question.

I've read somewhere from another forum
that someone from New York Times is
doing a story for Efren "The Magician" Reyes,
have anyone has any good information
that this is true ? If ever it is true have it
been featured already on New York Times..?

While at the Derby City Classic, I met a journalist that was there getting info for a story featuring Efren. I think he actually worked for the New York Times magazine. I'm not sure when the story will be released. I gave the guy my email address and he said that he would notify me when the story was released. No word yet. What forum did you see this announcement?

I saw it from Billiards Digest forum and i think it was you
SlipRock if i am not mistaken.

And if i am not mistaken, pls do give info on that one because
i am from the Philippines and i dont have access to those guys
or the one that they will be featuring. It will be greatly appreciated
even for everybody's consumption here. Coz i know there are a lot
of Efren's fans here.
