Me too. I've tried many different shafts as well. I'm not sure what it is but for me I can switch between standard maple shafts and the 314 easier than any other shaft.i too play with 314, pre-cat. love that shaft. i've tried all the iterations since, but always reverted back. the 314-3 was poor wood quality, softer and even had a tiny knag. not impressed by the QC there. tried the vantage but too big diam and taper for my liking

Back in the days when Pat Fleming was producing the Make It Happen at Sandcastle, Edison, New Jersey, On on of those Make It Happen, Efren played with the EBR-501 and a Judd Fuller Plane Jane that Judd build specifically for him. Nonetheless he used a different shaft with the Judd.I have never seen him shoot with that "EBR" cue. I doubt he ever has.
