If you wanted to engrave names for people and maybe seial numbers to id cues you have made has anyone modified a engraving machine for this?

Or any ideas on this

Try your local Trophy supplier. Most of them now have laser equipment that can do almost anything and the cost is minimal.

Perhaps on something flat...with a cue you would need a fourth axis to do a cue...

I used to have a New Hermes engraver that I used for doing inlays. There was an attachment available for it that enabled a person to engrave around things instead of a straight line. It was for cups and such. I would imagine that a cue stick could have been engraved in this manner.
