Thank you, Solartje. I am glad she played well!

I hear she is coming to our next Hunter Classics Tour tournament - March 31-April 1 at Magoo's Billiards in Tulsa, OK.

We also just received an email that Rebecca (Meng Meng) Zhou [who won the 2004 Junior World Championship] will be coming as well! It will be her first WPBA Qualifier event.

Where do these guys come from? They must be playing on 5" pocket tables with soft shoulders.
Seriously, great matches...thanks.

Europe is full with talented players, and countrys like holland, germany, england have at least 10 top quality players each. there are loads of world class players, but exept from the eurotour's, u wont see many of them in the big tournaments, because the cost is just to expensive. if they could win enough $ with hometournaments, save it, and then use it to travel abroad im sure they could do some real damage, but its hard to find a tournament that gives more then 1k$ for a first place, and traveling abroad can easily cost 2k+.

also pool not being a national sport of any kind, and is considered as a barr game for drunk guys doesnt really help to get big sponsers. When serge das qualified for the world championships in dubay some days ago and had some greath wins vs the best players in the world, you really had to dig into small local papers to even find anything written about it. Its just stupid. the only sport that gets recognision is socker and tenis. Yes, we have a 2 great worldchampions in tenis, but we also have wendy jans who got world snooker champion 2007, we have serge das who is doing greath, we have Kurt declerck who has won over 10 medals in the european championship, but u dont hear ANYTHING about them.

well if the press isnt doint it right, maybe my posts here will make a difference and help our poolcountry, and no matter if only 10 people read it, thats 10 more people who know about belgium players.

but yes, there are loads of good players no one knows about. thats why i like to post some results of players of my country, to try to give them some recognision where they deserve it.

9ball is on the way, and after the first round, already big guns on the loser side.

- niels Feijen
- imran majid
- Hohmann

TOUGH TOUGH field out there :) really amazing matches, and life on bwin :D

ps special thanks to yasmin oushan and tony drago for the $ i won from there matches :p. Tony drago was quoted vs nick vandenberg at 1.10 vs 5.00. Amazing odds, seeing that tony drago isnt JUST a beginner, i mean, he is in the semi finals with a match i think he will win, and should play the 8ball final vs ortmann if he wins his semi final. And yasmin Oushan her worst match was a 8-2 win :p even with a handicap op 5 frames, bwin gave good odds :) some more and i might have enough to buy a new shaft and send it to Kevin

How much English does SERGE DAS speak? What is his age?
JoeyA

Solartje said:
i think he must speak fluent english. Almost anyone in our country can. but ive never bothered to ask really. :)

about his age... mm not sure either. should be around 30.

weird questions

u can see him here:
http://www.azbilliards.com/2000storya.cfm?storynum=4195

Not as wierd as you might think. It might be beneficial to stake horses or managers if they know that their horse speaks English, just in case they were to be interested in making a road trip across America doing some gambling and playing in pool tournaments. A 20 year old player could present some challenges for a road manager whereas a 40 year old may not have some of the "youthfulness" left in him and may be easier to manage the player and the money. Youth has many benefits and also a few downfalls. 30 is about the time when most young men get a little more serious about getting ahead.

That's all the English and age was about. Does that still sound weird to you?

joeyA, not at all :)

if u like to get in contact with him and ask him some questions, feel free to pm me. He should be ariving back home from the EC soon and ill be glad to put you or other people in contact with him.

i know he is open for idea's... the right person just never came across him.
