Does anyone have any info on pool halls in the Evansville, IN area? I'm in town for awhile on business, it seems like all the pool halls numbers I've found are disconnected... which I assume means the establishment is no longer in business... Several people have recommended Sky Billiards Cafe, but they fall into the category of disconnected numbers. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

O'Brian's is the new name for Sky's. More a bar than poolhall these days, still got 5 GC's, one double shimmed. Good news: open late, live music often.

The Corner Pocket bar on the westside has 8 diamond 7' and one 9' diamond (double shimmed). They also have an 8-ball tourney every Friday and Saturday. 50 cents/rack on the 7's and 75 cents for the 9'. 9' is also $3/half hour. The action is here.

I will be in Evansville next Wed. Through Sun. and will be playing every day :D so keep that in mind.

There's also a Jillian's downtown by the casino, but it's $$ pricey and probably no action.

Sportsman's Billiards (2315 W Franklin) is a decent little bar with some older tables (Brunswicks I believe). I'm not sure how much action you will find there. Jillian's is way overpriced. Check out Crickett's Poolroom in Princeton (just off the courthouse square) if you want to play some 9 ball or Snooker. It's 25 cents per person per Snooker game, loser pays. Hard to beat the price, and the table is a pretty decent 5x10 Steepleton. Let the owner (Bill) know if you want to play some 9 ball for a little dough. Saturday morning is probably best for finding a 9 ball game. And the food's not bad either. BTW, they're only open til 2 on Saturdays.
