Looking at old and new cues, I just noticed that more and more cue makers are jumping into the exotic materials bandwagon. Rosewoods, Snakewood, Thuya burl and amboyna burl are extensively used, even if these woods does not have any good structural qualities except maybe for some rosewoods. Out of curiosity who popularized or who was the first cue maker to use such woods ?
